SNEAK PEAK

When death row inmate, Callum Lynch is sentenced to death by Lethal Injection, he wakes up the next day after the execution at Abstergo in Madrid, Spain.

He's confronted by Sofia Rikkin, Alan Rikkin's (CEO of Abstergo) daughter, who will put him in the Animus, to relive the memories of his ancestor, Aguilar, an Assassin who lived during the Spanish Inquisition, to explore the roots of violence, in attempts to find a way to stop it, in present day.

Callum Lynch finds himself in the middle of a global conflict between two factions who have existed since the dawn of humanity, the Assassins and Templars.

CALLUM LYNCH (Michael Fassbender) After a shooting in Texas, Cal is sentenced to death by Lethal Injection. Shortly afterwards, he woke up at Abstergo in Madrid, Spain, confronted by Sofia Rikkin, daughter of Alan Rikkin who informed him that he no longer exists in the eyes of the world, after his fake execution and she tells him about her intentions to use the genetic memories of his ancestor, Aguilar who lived and died 500 years before him, to investigate the roots and reasons of the hostile behavior of the human race.

Cal is oblivious of his Assassin lineage and he doesn't belong anywhere in the world nor does he have a family. This whole experience introduces him to a millennia old conflict between the Assassins and Templars, changing his life forever.

AGUILAR (Michael Fassbender) Unlike Cal, Aguilar, a distant ancestor of Cal whom the latter relives his memories through the Animus, is an Assassin and has a strong commitment to the Creed. His story will be explored during the year 1491, during the Spanish Inquisition. He's from the city of Seville. He's accompanied by his trusted partner, Maria throughout his missions.

MARIA (Ariane Labed) Aguilar's Assassin companion. Maria accompanies Aguilar throughout his missions. She's fast, skilled and determined and she serves as a reminder of the Creed's tenants and reason to Aguilar.

SOFIA RIKKIN (Marion Cotillard) Daughter of Abstergo CEO, Alan Rikkin. She's focused on the Animus experiments and she subjects Cal, like many other Abstergo "patients" to the Animus to review their genetic memory, in attempts to understand the roots of hostility in human behavior.

Sofia strongly believes that she's doing the right thing, and she's ready to go all the way back to Adam & Eve to learn what she's after, in attempts to stop violence in present day.

ALAN RIKKIN (Jeremy Irons) CEO of Abstergo. Alan observes his daughter's (Sofia Rikkin) work, like a Templar crow, and while the Animus experiments are meant to understand the origins of hostility in human behavior, Alan Rikkin has far more sinister goals, to find an ancient artifact, which the Templars have been after since it was last seen in Seville until recent years, in the 1980s. It is presumed that the artifact is the Apple of Eden.

MOUSSA (Michael Kenneth Williams) Moussa is a middle-eastern, modern day Assassin, and is the first whom Cal encounters in the bizzare garden recreation within the heavily-guarded Abstergo complex. He was subjected to the Animus prior to Cal, to relive the life of his ancestor Baptiste, who lived 200 years before him. At some point, he whispers to Cal to jump out of the building while he still can. He also plays with magic and is seen demonstrating certain 'powers'.

- The Assassin's Creed movie story will take place at Abstergo complex in Madrid, Spain, in present day, with certain flashbacks from Cal's childhood and his execution as an adult, taking place in Texas, USA. The regression segments, telling the story of Aguilar will take place in the city of Seville, in Spain.

- The Abstergo building is connected by other passageways and atriums is a vast common room where Abstergo’s patients/test subjects will spend the majority of their time. In the center of the room, there are four stainless steel tables with connected and equally spotless benches. Each one features a childhood game that has been appropriately dehumanized.

- The room lacks colors and the only color comes from one wall that is lined by a garden. With a raised floor carved out of wood, one imagines that Abstergo’s patients might actually find solace in the greenery, although the irony that most of the plants are still kept in metallic cages could not be lost on them"

- Directly across from the garden in the Abstergo building is a control center where Abstergo scientists constantly monitor their patients/test subjects and see what they do when they aren’t in the Animus.

- Callum Lynch's prison cell is made of glass and concrete, with a twin bed. According to producer Patrick Crowley, Cal will be experiencing the bleeding effect, there.

- The Templars' quest to find the ancient artifact, presumably the Apple of Eden remained up until the 80s, when Callum Lynch's mother was found murdered in her own house.

- The capital of Malta, Valetta, was used to recreate Seville of 1491

- Callum Lynch will go through 3 regression episodes, exploring the life of Aguilar in 1491

- Cal's father is an Assassin, and he killed his wife, who's also an Assassin, out of love, to prevent Abstergo from taking her and using her blood, to find the secrets in her DNA.

- A prop on the movie set, in the armory might give a hint about how the 3rd act of the movie will begin, a Hidden Blade made from a smartphone, a watch, a shoe and a pen.

- “It’s not a secret, [the patients] have powers,” Williams told the source during an interview. “So, they know Moussa plays with magic and things like that. And they encourage that we do these things, so they can cipher it out of our brains into the things they stick into the back of our heads. So, they give us little safe havens, the environment is to play with our gifts.”

- Jeremy Irons, on the day the Den Of Geek was on set, was shooting a scene where Alan Rikkin, the character he plays was addressing an assembled G7 summit.

- The Abstergo branch shown in the trailer is located in Madrid, Spain. As seen on the business cards of Alan Rikkin, revealed few months back.
